Designed for practical use

A slim probe makes the difference.

Temperature is part of a reproducible assessment of meat. The right tool makes everyday checks easier.

1,5 mm

A finer probe

The slim stainless-steel probe can be positioned precisely and leaves a small puncture. Especially useful for smaller cuts and comparative tastings.

< 1 s*

Fast response

The probe’s short response time supports quick temperature checks and comparisons across several measurement points. This makes differences within a piece or between samples easier to identify, with less waiting for the probe to respond.

1 m

Work with flexibility

The flexible silicone cable separates the probe from the display. The tip reaches the required spot while the display stays in view, so the device does not have to be held directly above the meat.

Typ K

Replace the probe

The miniature flat connector allows the probe to be replaced. A damaged probe therefore does not mean replacing the entire thermometer. Compatible additional Type K probes extend its possible uses.

Magnetic

Keep both hands free

The black rubber cover with two magnets holds the instrument on suitable metal surfaces. The probe can be stored on the back.

180°

Read with ease

Backlit display with switchable upside-down view. Hold freezes a reading; Min/Max shows the recorded extremes.

* T90 response time of the 1.5 mm probe: under 1 second in water flowing at 0.4 m/s, according to Senseca. T90 means 90% of a temperature change. Measurement time in meat depends on conditions.

Selected for IMSP

Why I chose this thermometer.

For IMSP, I wanted a thermometer that fits the practical work with meat. A thin probe, a fast response and a display that remains easy to read while working were my key criteria. The IMSP Edition brings these features together.

The 1.5 mm probe can be positioned precisely in a piece of meat without leaving an unnecessarily large puncture. Its fast response makes checking several points easier. This is particularly useful when preparing different samples for a tasting, where temperature should provide a common starting condition.

Handling matters just as much to me: the cable separates the probe from the display, the device can be attached magnetically and the probe can be replaced when needed. It also offers Senseca measuring technology made in Germany. These are practical reasons for choosing a tool that connects kitchen work, teaching and sensory assessment.

Temperature does not replace sensory judgement. It does help put differences in texture and juiciness into context. That connection is central to IMSP.

Measure and understand

Give each reading context.

Core temperature, texture, juiciness and aroma belong together in tasting. The IMSP Edition supports temperature checks; Sensory ID adds structured sensory assessment.

Readings can be recorded manually as needed. The thermometer works independently, with no required app and no automatic data transfer.
